HIV Hope

He Intends Victory (M) Berhad, (formerly HIV HOPE) is the Malaysian Chapter of He Intends Victory USA. We are a Christian organisation committed to reaching out to those living with HIV/AIDS to bring them a message of hope. We endeavour to provide quality of life and dignity for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, regardless of race, religion, or creed. We are also committed to help bring about an educated response to HIV/AIDS from the community in Malaysia.

What we do …

  • Home for HIV Positive Women and Children
    We have a shelter home just outside of Kuala Lumpur for mothers, single women, and children living with HIV. The home for is a safe and loving place for these residents, and provides a support system to motivate and foster and spirit of hope in a caring environment. The goal is to transition the women and children into an independent living environment if possible. Ongoing support and assistance is provided to those who are able to transition from the home.
  • Home-based Care
    The home-based care program is to assist families and loved ones to provide care for people living with HIV/AIDS in the home environment. We believe that the ideal place for a person infected with HIV is to live in their own home. While this is not always possible, our goal is to educate the family and loved ones about HIV/AIDS, and provide training to support the person at home. Community volunteers are also involved in the home-based care program, and ongoing support is provided.
  • Awareness Programmes and Resources
    We strongly believe that education and awareness play a vital role in preventing the spread of HIV and reducing the stigma associated with the disease. He Intends Victory (M) Bhd. provides AIDS awareness talks, literature, and other effective communication to educate churches, community groups, youth rallies, charity organizations, and other groups about HIV/AIDS. We utilize resources from Malaysia and the USA for collective expertise to provide training for volunteers, family members, people living with HIV/AIDS, and other community organizations. We are an established resource within the Christian community in Malaysia and have provided training and education at numerous events, meetings, and services. Over the past 12 years we have frequently spoken at churches in Malaysia about the need for a compassionate response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
