Joy from Kenya

Joy’s Story:

Joy's father abandoned her and her mother when Joy's mother tested positive for HIV. Later, her mother left Joy with her grandfather. He is a member of a He Intends Victory support group. Joy's mother's whereabouts are unknown. Her grandfather struggles to care for her basic needs. Joy and her grandfather are both overjoyed to have a sponsor for Joy and she now goes to Shinners Primary Academy.
