Vanessa’s Story:
Vanessa is the last of four children. She stays with her mother because her father died of HIV/AIDS. Vanessa is also positive as she was infected during birth. She is often sick because her immune system is weak due to the virus. When she is able she goes to school, but generally lacks the money to pay the school fees. Her mother is not able to support her and Vanessa prays for someone to sponsor her so that she can go to school and have a better life.Age: 18
