From June 14 to June 30, 2025, our He Intends Victory team journeyed across Uganda for a powerful outreach mission we’ll never forget. With open hearts and prayerful steps, we visited communities from the bustling city of Kampala to remote villages where hope is sometimes hard to find—but never absent.

This wasn’t just a trip. It was a movement of compassion, love, and tangible support for those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. The impact? Deep. Lasting. And made possible because of you—your prayers, your giving, and your willingness to say, “I care.”

A Glimpse into the Journey

Over 16 days, we conducted 8 major outreach events across Uganda. Every gathering brought healing, education, and encouragement to families carrying the weight of HIV. Here’s a snapshot of what God did through your support:

Impact Summary:

  • People Served 3,027
  • Medical Patients Seen 893
  • Livestock Distributed 22 animals
  • Machetes 84
  • Hoes 63
  • Soccer Balls 30
  • As well as…
    • Hundreds of reading glasses
    • Approx. 1800 items of clothes
    • 900 outreach baggies

Highlights:

  • Medical care was provided to over 893 individuals, offering basic treatment, health education, and encouragement.
  • Livestock gifts (goats and pigs) were distributed to select families to promote long-term income and food stability.
  • Other gifts handed out included outreach baggies filled with hygiene & school supplies, household items and other practical gifts.
  • Most importantly, every person was met with compassion and the hope of Jesus Christ, shared through prayer, testimony, and fellowship.

Stories That Stuck with Us

Behind every outreach are real people, real struggles, and real moments of grace. These are just two of many stories that reminded us how powerfully and personally God works when we show up.

A Mother’s Heart Recognizes Another

'Brian' and 'Mary'At one outreach, our pharmacist Gloria—who also happens to be the wife of our tour guide, Eric—noticed a young boy, ‘Brian’, among the crowd. While others may not have seen anything unusual, she recognized something immediately. Her own son is autistic and non-verbal, and she saw the same behaviors in ‘Brian’. She gently approached ‘Mary’, the boy’s mother, who had been silently struggling, unsure of what her son was facing. No one had ever told ‘Mary’ what was happening with ‘Brian’. With compassion and clarity, Gloria explained that the boy was autistic and that his condition was not a curse or punishment. More than that, she assured ‘Mary’, you are not alone.

That moment of shared understanding between two mothers—one Kenyan, one Ugandan—transcended culture and language. It was simply love in action.

A Boy Named Elegant

In one village, a young boy named Elegant quietly caught our attention. He lives with his grandmother, who can no longer walk and struggles daily to care for him. Despite their challenges, Elegant carried himself with a calm strength and quiet dignity—his name truly fit him.

Pastor Bruce felt led by the Lord to add Elegant to our Terry’s Kids program for AIDS orphans. Not long after, Derrick—one of our team members from the U.S.—approached Pastor Bruce with a thoughtful look and said, “I don’t know how to go about this, but I sense that I’m supposed to sponsor Elegant for school. Is that possible?” He had no idea Elegant had just been added to the program. Two separate decisions, led by the same Spirit, converging around one boy in one village. God was clearly orchestrating every detail.

God Was Weaving the Story Before We Even Arrived

These moments don’t happen by accident. They are reminders that God is always at work—long before we board a plane or pack a single suitcase. He’s already in the village, already stirring hearts, already preparing divine appointments. We may show up with a plan, but it’s often in the unscripted, Spirit-led moments where the most lasting impact takes place. That’s the heart of He Intends Victory. To follow where He leads, trust in His timing, and be ready for the unexpected blessings along the way.

It’s Not the End—It’s Just the Beginning

We’re already dreaming about what’s next. The needs are real, but so is the opportunity to keep bringing light where the world sees darkness. And we’d love for you to come with us.

Pray with Us

Please keep praying for:

  • The families and support groups we visited
  • Our Country Director Mark Wandyaka and the Ugandan team
  • New doors for ministry and connection in Uganda and beyond
  • Fresh ideas and new resources to keep this work going strong

Thank you for being part of something bigger. Together, we are changing lives—one trip, one prayer, one act of love at a time.
