After graduating from Vanguard University with a degree in Communications in 1998, Matt worked as a Video Producer for over 20 years within the medical and finance industries. In 2019, Matt started his own successful video production business, Sonnenberg Video, in Southern California. He has been on numerous mission’s trips with He Intends Victory since our inception in 1990 to Asia, Central America, Europe, and Africa including leading his first Team in 2004 to Kenya. In 2022, Matt joined He Intends Victory as the Director of Operations and in October of 2023 he took over as Executive Director. Matt has been involved in church leadership for over 15 years and is currently the Head Elder and a pastor at Encounter Church in Mission Viejo, California. Matt lives with his wife Anna and their three children. Matt also has a grown daughter and two grandchildren.
