Maria’s Story:
Maria is a humble girl who lives in the Mtomondoni slums with her mother and 5 siblings. Her mother is HIV positive and a single woman who struggles to take care of them. She faces the challenge of paying school fees and sometimes they sleep hungry due to a lack of food. They live in poor sanitation conditions due to overpopulation in the slums and therefore are at higher risk of contacting diseases. Maria is in great need.Age: 13
