Lucky
Lucky’s mother abandoned him when he was four and his father has died. His grandmother takes care of Lucky. His grandmother is a small scale farmer who is not always able to provide their basic needs much less money for school fees.
Jesca
Jesca lives with her grandmother who struggles to provide the basic necessities of life for her.
Esther
Esther lost her dad at a tender age and continues to live with her mum who is HIV+. Her mother does small scale farming, but health-wise is weak and finds it difficult to cultivate enough to cover their basic needs.
