Pratikshya has three sisters and one brother. Her family, including herself, are  suffering from HIV/AIDS. They are very poor and are homeless. Due to the poor condition her mother is unable to feed her children and pay for their education.

Because Felix’s father died of AIDS, his mother who is HIV+ depends on well-wishers to provide things like food and clothing for Felix and 5 brothers and sisters. Felix attends Hekima Academy Primary School.
