Bruce Sonnenberg began with a support group of three hurting people in 1990. Joan Yorba-Gray’s faith was severely tested in 1988 when Joan not only found out that her very ill husband had AIDS but that she had been infected by him and was now HIV+. AIDS has spread throughout the entire world, we literally have thousands of children who could qualify for our program, but at this time we can only begin with a couple hundred children from five countries: Colombia, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, and Uganda. All of our children are AIDS orphans, that is a child 15 years old or younger who has lost one or both of their parents to AIDS.
