Neema
Neema lives with her mother as her father died of AIDS. Her mother and grandparents are also living with HIV/AIDS and sometimes they are all helpless with the debilitating disease and malnutrition. They are Christians and pray for a sponsor for Neema.
Sabrina
Sabrina’s parents have both died and her life was very difficult. She was taken in by Pastor Haruni when she did not have enough dowry to live on. Now, she enjoys life because she is sponsored and gets her basic needs met and is able to attend school.
Meliyo
Meliyo’s parents both died of AIDS. She was adopted by her maternal grandmother who tries to provide for her grandchildren by selling traditional medicine. Meliyo has a sponsor now who has changed her life. Now she eats well and attends school.
