Country Director:
Rev. Haruni Sekele

Haruni serves as the Country Director for He Intends Victory in Tanzania. Since joining the organization in 2018, he has devoted himself to caring for orphans, widows, and individuals living with HIV—especially those often overlooked or forgotten by society. Even before becoming part of the international network, Haruni was already working on his own to support children affected by HIV. His partnership with He Intends Victory has strengthened and expanded his impact across the country.

Under his leadership, the Tanzania team now operates in 12 regions: Songwe, Mbeya, Iringa, Dodoma, Singida, Morogoro, Pwani (Coast), Dar es Salaam, Lindi, and Mtwara. Through regional offices and support groups, they provide vital education on HIV/AIDS, promote child protection, and raise awareness about the dangers of child marriage and abuse.

Haruni holds a bachelor’s degree in theology from Uganda Baptist Seminary. He is passionate about bringing hope, dignity, and the love of God to those affected by HIV/AIDS. He and his team are committed to reaching the most vulnerable with compassion and practical support.

Haruni is married to his wife, Upendo Haruni, and together they are blessed with three children—one daughter and two sons. In addition, they lovingly care for two orphaned children: Mwile, the son of his late brother who died of AIDS, and Sabrina, another orphan they have welcomed into their home.

Mwile Sekele
Mwile Sekele
Director of Support Groups

Mwile first joined He Intends Victory in 2014 as a child in need, receiving support through our sponsorship program in Tanzania until 2023. In 2024, he began volunteering, and in 2025, he was officially hired as the Director of Support Groups in Tanzania. With a deep love for others, inspired by Mark 12:31—"Love your neighbor as yourself"—Mwile now serves people living with HIV by visiting support groups, offering encouragement, and teaching members how to use available resources to reach their goals.

Scola has a teaching degree from Tumaini University, Iringa. She began serving with He Intends Victory as a volunteer in 2023, visiting people living with HIV. In 2025, she officially joined the team as Director of Orphans. She has been a true blessing to our ministry, actively supporting outreach efforts and caring deeply for the children she serves. Scola shows the love of Jesus to each child, following His example in Luke 18:16—“Let the little children come to me.” She works joyfully as part of the team and is grateful to be part of the community. Scola is married to her husband Saimoni and they have one daughter.
