Matthew Sonnenberg serves as Executive Director and USA Country Director for He Intends Victory. He is passionate about carrying the ministry’s mission forward, strengthening its work around the world, and helping the Church respond with compassion to those affected by HIV/AIDS.
Matt is excited about the future of He Intends Victory and what God has in store for the ministry in the years ahead. His desire is to build on the foundation that has been established, develop new opportunities for ministry, and continue bringing the hope of Jesus Christ and practical help to people affected by HIV/AIDS around the world.

Daniel Davis
Dan Davis was diagnosed with AIDS in 1994. He joined He Intends Victory (HIV) as a Board member, and IDS educator and speaker in 1998. Today, Dan holds the position of Director of Ministry and has traveled the world sharing his story of how God’s love, hope, and forgiveness changes pain and rejection into acceptance and joy in Jesus Christ. Dan has been married 50+ years to Cathy and they have 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren. Queen Creek, AZ
Rev. Ron Magno
After graduating from college with a degree in Biblical Studies, Ron began living a “double” life. Like the prodigal son though, he returned to the Lord but came back with AIDS. In 2001, Ron heard Godʼs call to pastor Pacific Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in San Diego. Ron became a Board Member in of 2007. Ron and his wife, Vangie have been married for 17 years and have a 10-year-old son. San Diego, CA
Resty Nalwadda
Resty comes to us from Kajjansi, Uganda, where she originally served as our Director of Social Media after earning her Bachelor’s degree from one of Uganda’s top universities. She later joined our He Intends Victory Kenya team as the Director of Support Groups, overseeing more than 65 support groups across the country—from Busia to Marigat, Eldoret to Mombasa—while continuing to lead our AIDS education programs and support group initiatives. Today, Resty is back in Uganda and serves as our Global Social Media Manager, bringing her passion for communication and advocacy to a worldwide audience.
Christine Beaini
Christine Beaini was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to California with her family when she was 9 years old. Tragically, her father died in a car accident when she was 13 which greatly impacted her and her family’s lives. It was this event in Christine’s own life that has touched her heart for children who suffer in life through no fault of their own. She went on to earn a teaching degree and taught elementary school for 38 years. Soon after retiring, Christine began volunteering at He Intends Victory and although not a Board member she was soon appointed Director of Terry’s Kids and Amy's Friends. Christine has a passion for children and says, “Caring about children has been a big part of my life and I love 'looking after children' through the work of Terry’s Kids and Amy’s Friends." Christine and her husband, Sami have been happily married for 45+ years. They have 2 grown children. Orange, CA
